They eat meal worms like these:

the ones that we usually get for the black one are about an inch in length.

The albino ones are blind and sense the food using their sensors on their head, whereas the black git looks up as soon as you put your head over the tank.

Also, the mealworms turn into beatles - but the black one eats these aswell

Aparently if you put iodine in the water, they will turn into salamanders.

They eat pretty much anything you put in front of them :lol: But we feed them on a diet of mealworm, sometimes fish.

They are purely water creatures. However, they are related to salamanders, and are in effect, the larvae form of them. Apparantly if you put iodine in the water, and have an area for them to emerge from the water onto a rock or something, they will turn into salamanders. They're great little things though, oddly they have different personalities aswell! :D

But that black one is strong as fook for what he is! If you try and grab him and he's not in the mood, he'll whip away from you at lightning speed and you can feel the strangth of him when he does!
