All things regarding quantum physics... LOVE reading about it, and sitting there thinking... wow. I dont get it!
The other week infact, I spent a good 12-15 hours in one day reading up about all sorts of stuff trying to get my head around it.
Black holes, now theres a thing is strangeness. Hawkin believes that they evaporate into space after 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years.
Yet out universe is roughly 13,700,000,000 years old.
Thats mad on its own. I mean, seriously, how the hell does he worth stuff like that out? With regards to the black hole that is.
Technically I dont see how thats possible, because, seeing as our universe is 13,700,000,000 years old, or thats how old we believe it is, how does he come up with the calclulation that black holes will take that long to evaporate in space if there is potentially no proof of it due to its number being way bigger than the age of the universe. Personally I think its just a made up number lol. But also, there is no proof of black holes dissapearing, its just a guess. Its mental when you really think about it.
I would actually love to be a scientist and study things like this all day. I really would, I dont think I am clever enough to do it, but if I had the chance, I probably would.
On the subject of other life forms. I believe its completely possible. 110% infact. I dont think our planet has the ONLY living species on it. Not at all. Anyone who says that in my opinion can jump off a bridge. I mean, lets face it, we are here, so why wouldnt there be anyone else??
Might not be of the human type as we know it, might still be bacteria, but that will slowly evolve over thousands of years possibly. Like what we have - as I believe.
But then also, other life forms might have had a head start on us. I once read that there is a possibility that they are thousands of years ahead of us, in technology and all sorts. How true it is we dont know.
Technology, now thats something. Only over the last few hundred years we have had that and its evolved alot in the last say, 100-150 years in term of what its become. Think, we invented telephones, tvs, ect.. those are the basics, even things like the microchip is kinda basic and old technology now.
Anyway, on technology where I was going to head, think about the space exploration side of it. In say the last what 50-60 years its been growing, the last 20-30, might even be less, but in the 'recent' years its got to a point where we can see into space so far, that its taken us to what we believe as to be the begging of time. Just think, give it another 100 years, what will we have found out then? Let alone the next 1,000 years.
Thats one reason I dont want to die, is because I want... no, I NEED to know.
What else was I going to ramble on about? Hmm... I dunno, I'll leave it there
