In all fairness it's 80 ish for me, but I vary big time I'm my journey I'll go between 70-100 continuosly but I'll be more around 70-80.
But the point I'm making is the 1.6 has more punch, alot more, you can get in the right hand lane and floor it and not get some twat fly up behind you while your accelarating, because you've flown off :) (not always the case) :D

I know it's spares and repairs.. Hence why I said £750 for bumpers and seats..
Bloody expensive I wouldn't pay it at all.

It's all a bit cut throat out there guy's...I've been out bid, promised and all kinds of things and still no SI..Got one i'm praying comes throughin the next few days.1.6 SI some issues as follows-the car has to be unlocked from the passengers side but locks from both, the passengers side electric window wont open, does have a bit of rust and few scuffs which is normal for a car this age.!!! I'm thinking them issues will be pretty easy to sort..She says engine is sound and had clutch cable, exhaust, battery, 2 new tyres and wheels balanced. Even got a few mths tax and MOT..Just sat waiting for a mail now fingers crossed 8-)

Thanks for all the info to, pretty much made me wanna go 1.6 TBH already got clear fiesta rear light units,GTI escort wheels all lined up if i can get this in the bag...Is it woth going full induction kit??? Or is it pointless on its own..

I saw that one and considered it myself. It seemed in good nik, but my current fiesta (not an Si) had the same problem, the driver side lock siezed and I had to change the locks. At the moment only the door locks are changed which means I have to use a seperate key to unlock the doors than I do for the petrol cap, boot and ignition, because they seemed overly dificult to change.

Plus, getting the interior of the door off was a bitch..well..not so much the taking off but the getting back on. It was held on by about 15 sliding clips but they were all pointing outward so you couldn't slide it up because the bottom ones had to go down, left coz the right ones had to go right and so on, so I just had to rip a few of them out. Which meant putting it back on was hard because I needed to glue some back on while I were trying to slide on the ones I couldn't get off.

To sum it up: Lots of swearing. The Si could be different, or it could just need some WD40.

It would be a good buy coz you can probably get it cheap with next to no expense fixing it.

I had the same problem. With both doors. Had to climb Through the boot lol

Dad replaced the locks, £11 on eBay. Interior was alright to get off and on. But ford have there own type of locks.. Everyone else has an easy clip, ford have that plate which is just awkward and unecessarily hard to change.

Do it yourself though, as my friends Mum had the same problem And she paid £110 at a garage.. I then told her I could have done it for £11.. She wasn't happy.

The new key I bought on eBay as well. That opened my boot.. Which was a little worrying.

Was out bid by a f£$king pond :x I cant seem to get hold of a good well half decent si, then i went to view this one bank holiday monday http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... egLetter=M and it was a mess really for the asking price, it had most of the gearbox covered in oil that was leaking from the head the boot carpet was cut out no parcel shelf and the centre console missing..It might have been owned by some one on this site as it had the sites stickers all over it..It would have been ok for around £150-200 but the asking price was 395 far to much for a car with a possable head gasket issue.. :frown:
