It comes down to what people think they should say at times, its like its cool to say the originals are better etc. This happens a lot when you bring back something old, transformers is a good example.

The starwars films are an excellent example, I know some people who just say the old films are the best end of, don't get me wrong episode 1 wasn't that good, episode 2 was good and episode 3 was amazing. Yet all three get branded as crap just because they aren't the originals.

I lot also comes down to perspective at the time, I was a kid when I first saw T2 so I was going to get more excited, saying that when rubber arnie stepped out it did bring back that childish 'Yeeeahhhh' for a few seconds.

I do watch a lot of films so do like to judge them on there own merits and not what was expected due its name/heritage.

I agree completely with you Percy! It's down to experiences and lifestyles when the originals came out, and how you seen them then.

It's like film critics - never, EVER listen to them. Take a film and watch it yourself, then judge it yourself :)

We all know this but we still go the cinema to see a sequel and hope for the best :lolz:

I'm not "Dissin" a classic. I just prefer the newer prequels. :)

Aren't you too old to use that slang anyway? What was it like watching Star Wars for the first time at the cinema back in the day? :teehheee:
