Hi guys,

I have been lurking around fsi for a little while now, and thought i should introduce myself, i have always been into old fords from owning xr2s, xr3s and a rs turbo, but a weeks ago i saw a bargain not to be missed on fleabay.

2 litre zetec si, rs1800 inlet, desk ecu, appertantly running 150bhp but i am yet to see the dyno printouts! gmax shocks and springs ect..... looks like the conversions been done really well and the car just needs a little tlc - runs and drives perfect though not bad for under £300 aye !!!!!!

My original plan to reshell it into a mk2 has gone out of the window after finding such a good forum here i never realised the si was such a sought after fezza lol ----- Soooo brakes are next - just picked up a set of mk3 mondeo calipers for £2 ( another ebay bargain ) and the next thing is st170 disks and mk3 pads as per the 300mm for cheap post in the guides section... Thanks !!!!

No doubt i will be on the forum more and more as the project gets into full swing and look forward to meeting you all ----- PS. quick question any ideas on budget 16s to fit over the brakes - mondeo 4 stud maybe?

I shall get some pics up tommorow as the cars round at my dads, body needs some work and i was thinking about matt blacking or primer - smoothing it all out and creating a bit of a ratter.

some 15's fit over 300mm brakes so i would have thought mondeo 16s will fit

dont suppose the escort gti 15s will fit over the 300mm if i get zee evil grinder out

they might with spacers or if you get the grinder on the caliper like you said, id rather run 15's than 16's but every 1 got ther own opinion

Turns out the car has doing the rounds here already on fsi ---- reg:: m824ahk --- the black one owned by a couple of people of here ---- Good to read through the history

Needs a bit of work to get it back to its former glory --- but looks pretty clean here from the previous owner
