Well, was out in chester today with my mum and sister and we parked in a park and ride and all was good.

Got back to the car (landrover freelander) this afternoon and some theiving c*nt had stolen the catalytic converter!

I have heard of this happening before but the pure cheek! :x :x

They had cut the exhaust pipe each end of the cat with an angle grinder and left the rest of the system lying on the floor and we cant claim through the insurance as the excess is just over what the system and cat will cost to replace (£440!!) :doh:

P*ssed off aswell as because we need the car tomorrow to go to scotland (for reasons I will explain next week :halo: ) but luckily we found a quickfit who will get it done guaranteed for 2pm tomorrow.

Talking to the guy who came with the low loader its rife now and they can get £100 a cat :shock:

One upside of the whole ordeal tho is that the guy driving the low loader was a ford fanatic like me and we were discussing fords the whole way home. He has a mint S1 and a mk2 escort and we couldnt shut each other up the whole way home!! :lol: :lol:

Anyway, still p*ssed off tho! :x

Yea I know, looking on the upside at least we hadnt just put a new cat on it and they had stolen that! The one they stole was the original the car came with so it was pretty old anyway.

The carpark was really busy with buses every 5 minutes, cant believe the cheek! :doh:

Pikeys I bet mate :x very common for them to rob the cats like that.

We had it done to our Epsom branch. Every single van and car had the cats robbed. New and old :shock:

Get alot of trouble like that with cars. They tried chasing me down one day when I was delivering a car. Tried cutting me off at a road and hi-jacking the vehicle :x

Also the police Dont do much where they are concerned as there's a huge amount of hassle involved :doh:

I know, fooking c*unts!

Breakdown guy was saying that they just get what they can get the most money for, and at one time it was airbags from focuses and mondeos as there was a market for them for bodging together written off cars then selling them with dodgy documents.

He said his breakdown company had 12 callouts for stolen cats today! :doh:

it was all an elaborate trap from the start, it wasn't really a carpark, just a bit of tarmac that the pikeys themselves had slapped down, waited for a load of cars to park up then jump out and cut the cats off and scarper!! :doh:
