hello all im newbie to this site yesterday i went to look at a 5door fiesta si r -reg took it for a drive it pulls really well for a 1,25 with a ztec engine no shakes or knocks it needs a few bits sorting out on it but it will do me for travelling to and from work my only 2 main concerns were that the heater didnt get warm even tho temp gauge was half way but hope you good folks will help me sort it with good advise and the other was part of the key was missing but i think ill change locks on it bodywork wise i think its fairly good still a few bits to sort but can wait for now

You will probably find that it is the heater switch mate, common problem on the mk4 and mk5's.
It's because it's electrical rather than mechanical.
All you have to do is get a new switch.
Usually they get stuck on heat though lol. Not so good in summer haha.

thanks for all the welcomes to the site yes i know the mk 4 is old hat really but i just wanted something cheap and too be honest it aint going to cost me a fortune to run hopefully when work picks back up ill start saving up for a newer 1

ok ladies and gents here goes new heater control valve needed got 1 sorted should get here sat morn 10 min job but who knows it could take 10 hours with me doing it lol lol anybody any ideas how much it would cost to take my radio to the ford dealer to have the memory wiped its showing locked and wont let me enter the code
