hello, i purchased a fiesta si yesterday was just wondering if there is anything to watch out for with them, apart from the welding issues i have seen, the 1 i have bought has had extensive welding done to it.

Rot is the biggest killer, wishbone bushes are relatively common and easy to rectify, engines go on forever with basic maintenence. sensor issues can crop up from time to time. gearboxes are generally okay. if its not noisy leave it alone. electrics are pretty basic aswell.

welcome to the site matey, as said rot etc is the biggest problem but other than that, aslong as you treat her well she will keep going. They are pretty simple cars tbh which is good for beginners like be lol

good good been a long time without a ford, only had a brief test drive in her till shes taxed drove really well engine was excellent bit ropey round the rear arches. its also had a brand spanking new steering rack.

theyere worth the effort because they are quite cheap to maintain

never realised there would be a site like this sort of stumbled across it.

cheers peeps shouldnt go far wrong with the car on here then first job i think will have to be the rear arches when funds allow
