Okie dokie :D

Escort Cosworth - fantastic car, love it to bits and would own one in an instant. But it's not a supercar.

Nissan GTR - fantastic car, love it to bits and would own one in an instant. But it's not a supercar.

BMW M3 - not a super car.

Now, I know the definition of a supercar is open to slight interpretation. But to me, a supercar is something that costs a hell of a lot of money. Is designed from scratch, not based on a normal road car. Is exotic. Is rare.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not in any way slating any of the cars above! But some of them just aren't supercars. They are super cars. But not supercars.

I wanted to see people's choices in exotic motors. Not just a general garage, we've seen those posts before. My garage would be the same, I'd have so many varieties of cars it would look odd.

But I haven't won the Euromillions so that isn't going to happen just yet

But if you want to get technical, aren't some of the chosen cars classed as "hyper" cars?

:P

Maybe so, maybe so, young Chris.

But they're still not 10k cars that are based on a normal family saloon/hatch  They're all individual models, with no lesser variants that Joe Bloggs can buy and make to look like one. They're all at least purpose built, no compromise, and designed completely with function in mind. ;) And cost more than anything most of us could ever afford

I must admit I agree with Des, although I still posted  my choices aren't exactly "exotic", for instance my highlights are the Cerbera Speed 12 and Catsrol Supra, silly fast cars, and the Speed 12 is a little more than 'rare' but nothing like others choices.

I'm rubbish with supercars, as when they appear on programmes like top gear, I get bored - I'm unlike most people, when it comes to cars and watching reviews on TV, I really only get interested in cars I can afford everyday, so my knowledge of actual supercars are slim.

However an M3, Escort Cossie and Nissan GTR are three cars I would be able to afford one day (I'd like to think!), so they have no room in my own variation of "supercar" wish list! they need to haev at least 400bhp

The RS200 - there's a dude selling one on Pistonheads at the mo, around £150k, and it's running a silly 708bhp :o

Speed 12 - rare??? Naaaaaaaaah!

It's not like there was only ever one that was sold as a registered car, and the potential owner had to be doctored by the then owner of TVR to ensure they were the right person or anything!!!

I lvoe supercars. I love what they stand for, how they're made, the advances they help bring to the car world. It's just a shame that the people who can afford them are usually complete and utter dicks.

Im very oldskool in my choices...maybe not all supercars now and certainly technologically outdone..but certainly a milestone of thier time....and it'd have to be a euromillions win for the first one lol

Blower Bentley. you lot might chastise me for it...50 originally made...but 135 mph in 1925 was rediculous...and its such a beautiful car.
Image
Jag XJ220...technically the engine was a turbo'd 6R4 lump...first production car to spank past 200 mind
Image
Ferrari...250 GTO...the lines say it all
Image
Lamborghini muira..i dont care about the front end going light at speed..road trip to the alps....Questi giorni quando vieni il belle sole
la la la la la-la-la-la la la la la...spank into the dozer in the tunnel...(italian job for the younger reader)
Image
Ferrari F40..needs no futher introduction
Image
Audi S1...first 4 wheel drive car in group B...not entered officially in its first event..had it been it would have won..by a shade over 9 and a half minuites if my memory serves me right..it was over 9 i remember that much..and the noise :D
Image
and for a bit of RestoMod lushness....something very similar to this
Image
http://www.mustangandfords.com/featured ... to_26.html or go to the linky

something modern like a 500 Arbarth to loon about in for daily duties and a sensible estate something for picking bits up..couple of custom harleys..but i dare say id only buy the bentley and maybe the audi. id be too busy doing custom stuff as that appeals to me far more than the supercar loadsamoney penis reductions.
