I had to work today in stockport and everything was going fine until after dinner, my van broke!

Its been clicking for sometime now and iv been wanting to get it into a garage but it takes along time to get something done at my work. So this afternoon after i dropped my last lad off the inevitable happened and the CV joint broke leaving bits of it all over the road, here is some pics to amuse you:

When my boss eventually come out to swap vans and tow this back he decided one of the tyes was too bald so i had to change it then when i drove off in the spare van and collected my lads a pipe popped off from the radiator on the motorway, i pulled onto the hard sholder ad used anything i could find that resembled a screwdriver to tighten the jubalee clip up and was on my way again taking it easy then it went again. eventually i got home!!

Anyone else had a bad day? :banghead:

I woke up at 8:15 and was meant to have tesco ready and open by 7
Lucky two staff members were there (one since 6:30!) And all was good. Boss understood and he had done it before.

But then my dad sorted me a pretty much guarenteed apprentaship.. for everything that's bad sometimes a gpod thing comes along. My rule with work is never get stressed as its not your business.and you can only do your best if somethings wrong i just chill.and.get it done lol

Its a ford tourneo (looks the same as a transit but with front wheel drive), nice nippy van with 125bhp and loads of torque but 274,000 miles on the clock its showing its where and tear lol.

haha!

Ooo, i've learnt something today too, thought the torneo was just the "people carrier" version of the transit van as they all seem to be full of windows and seats, didnt realise it was front wheel drive as opposed to rear wheel drive! (And to be honest, thought all transit vans were front wheel drive?)

Shows how much I know about vans

im sure on every spec of transit but most of them are rear wheel drive, the tourneo was meant o be a more luxurious version of the transit with cd player, carpet and different seat arrangement (they can be removed by a pull of a lever). i removed them ones to pick a couch up and it was well fast lol. mine is on a 05 plate so i dont know whether the newer shape is front wheel drive because its got a 2.3 litre engine instead os the 2.0 in mine. whatseven better id say im getting around 40mpg out of it lol

That sounds pretty good! So does yours have loads of seats in it and windows aswell or is it a van with just metal sides? 40mpg is really good too! Bet the new ones fly with a 2.3 litre engine!

Its got 2 rows of 3 in the back and 2 passenger seats in front then obviously the driver so 9 seats in total. Its a nice drive, with big mirrors its easier to do manouvres than the fiesta

Cool. Maybe it should make its way to one of the north meets, we could all have a passenger ride at once then! :halo:  :lolz:

I agree with the bad thing and the good thing comes along

The other day the xr2i lost its blowers, fogs and boot release

But i got post that my £80 parking find appeal was successful

Unlucky mate thats a bad day

Drove to oldham once to get a car on a transit transporter, got to sheffield services with a bang and big noise and the front wheel bearing had gone and with a few miles welded itself up, so we had to wait 4 hours for a part and tools to turn up, when it ws done we got to oldham and then drove home, stopping on the way for sleep

we started at 8am and got home at 10am next day
