can i bring up a different subject about some road users. what pisses me off is some people that install HID headlight kits in their cars and use them during the day i mean, really?? do you need to turn on your super bright headlights during the day for no reason at all. i know volvo users can't help it but thats volvo design.

but i do understand your point about tailgaters. i have a modified escort (currently building a fiesta at mo ahem!) the escort i drive daily and it looks certainly different compared to the rest, and theres people that sit on my arse thinking yeah i can catch this sucker up if he drives off or for whatever reason they want to sit there. i don't brake when people are up my arse just incase of a rear ender and definately don't want my car written off. but it is a good trick especially if your brake lights light up without you actually braking!

at the end of the day there are dicks on the road that abuse the law, and are certainly not safe on the roads i.e. the ones that can't be bothered taxing, mot'ing or insuring their car as well as chavs/idiots who like to race and show off on the roads. its happens daily and theres not alot we can do about it other than take the car's number plate and report em!

HID kits in cars which aren't made for them do my head in, as I have said several times on here cars with them have auto-leveling so you don't blinf people when you go over speed bumps etc. eg fit them in a fiesta you will blind people.

My auto levelling means I don't blind people :D

Does annoy me that people have there headlights on during the day, but I read that in europe its illegal not to have your lights on all the time or something.. they were thinking about bringing it over here but that was a year ago.

bringing over a law to make sure every single car has their headlights on constantly during use whether its day or night? a bit ridiculous in my opinion. when i was over in the usa most of the cars had their headlights on during the day, they must have that law.

i dont see a problem with headlights on in the day. i think 99% of all motorbikes made these days have them on permanently and has reduced collisions due to you noticing the light quicker than you would the biker. hid's do my head in though if there on clear projector lenses that have been adjusted fair enough

I'm sure its a production thing nowadays on bikes that they have to have their lights on all the time so older bikes dont have it but all new ones do. dont think its the same on cars though, accidents in bikes are generally caused by other drivers just not seeing them so having lights on helps with that. i dont know that many accidents between 2 cars that are caused by one driver not seeing the other, not paying attention yes but that wouldnt change with or without lights being on.

I have no problem with hids if they are done properly, i hate it when peoples lights are on full beam all the time... if they are behind me i flash my fogs or brakes in their face to show them what its like without retinas.

back to the initial post point i'm all up for slowing down infront of them and then speeding up when they try and overtake... especially if i see another car coming the other way... :lol: only kidding I dont want there to be a big collision next to my car
