It always easier to go in with a partner, but it's down to personal preference really I guess.

You need to appeal more to the owners with money to burn than fiesta owners TBH! Look on the Ferrari,Porsche,Lambo forums etc
Starting your own business for the win though. The rates increase were the main reason that our shop front closed down to all but old friends/customers when my father used to do picture framing and restoration about 13 years ago.
You don't need an accountant, but they help! however many people have done AAT/Book keeping courses so it won't be hard to find someone for cheap. It depends on how much knowledge you have yourself of the financial side of things.
