| Post subject: | Rocker cover paint. |
Ive used some Halfords high temp paint but it was crap to say the least. What has everyone else used? Im sure i read on here that someone has used jus normal paint out of a can? Also what colour for rocker cover on a green SI? I was thinking black but want something bright. Im going to do other bits like fan shrouding, suspension tops etc all at same time. Opinions please! |

Try using normal paint to see what happens. I think onslack has just done his rocker cover in normal paint and looks good. |

I used plastikote on mine aswell, heat resistant up to 240 degrees methinks. Here's what it looked like prior to laquer: 
Then the laquer had a bit of a reaction to it and made the silver go grey and dull. Plus I didnt really prep it, just had a spare cam cover lying about so wanted to try something. And had to replace a leaking gasket anyway, so thought I'd slap it on anyway. It looked ok even in grey though lol |
