i was wonderin how easy it would be 2 fit an fiesta RS Turbo engine into my Si, and what changes i would have 2 make and what would i have 2 upgrade |

it would be a bit awkward as its a cvh. but if you've got the pte engine then it shouldnt be too bad on the mechanical side of things. then the only problem you have is the engine management, which i presume you'd need to to put the frt loom in as its a different fuel injection type, multipoint, not sequential. on a serious note, you'd be better off with the 2ltr in it though. it's cheaper to get hold of one, and cheaper on the insurance too. cheers for the advice, just got some insurance quotes on an FRST and a 2.0L mondeo and yeah it is cheaper so i might do that then cheers |

to convert fsi to rs engined fsi you would need to change the entire engine bay loom, the ecu, transmission, exhaust system, radiator, intercooler, engine bay hoses inc water and oil not much else |

i have decided 2 do the 2.0L conversion at the end of the year after see how cheap it is 2 get insured! i have read the topic posted in the guides section. can any1 tell me how difficult it is do myself, if i have a fairly clueless when it comes 2 cars! lol |

Answer to question 2: Get the 2.0 induction kit because you'll now have a wider throttle body so the black rubber tube of the 1.6 kit won't be wide enough to fit it. |
