Today i did a spot of work on my boot install. nothing fancy. I used 3mm "hardboard", the rolf harris board to me and you, to make a boot shaped cutout. This sites snug in the boot and has no fixings as it doesnt move because of the rear arches / strut mounts. To this i have screwed the carpet, and it looks very tidy. I wanted to use thin stuff to save me space, thick mdf would add weight etc. So if you are thinking of a false floor i can deffo. suggest this stuff for about ?4 from b+q. Ill put some pics up soon. How have other people "tied" down their subs/amps? Paul (p.s if you havent got the original boot carpet this will make things slightly more difficult) - as im sure everyone already knows. |

i've got a MDF one knocking about somewhere out of my old fez, used 15mm MDF! weighed a bit, but i needed it to support the 15" sub and amp i had in there at the time! J |
