filter, exhaust. think thats bout all it's worth spending on 1.4. please dont ruin the lines of the Si with the combat kit, i've yet to see a car it looks good on. 16's easy peasy with 40mm drop, might just need a touch of work to arch JJ |

I had a 1.6 16v Si and everything I done to it I can assure did not give it any power wot so ever it only made it sound better! I had exhaust and cat back, induction kit, always serviced, the proper Zetec engine oil and because of the small valves it wont make it any faster so I suggest you listen to the other members and get a XR2i or just put a FRST engine in! I had my SI for 2years and f***in loved it, it looked well smart with the money I spent on it (alot) but unfortunatley I didnt have the patience to get an engine conversion and sold it last year! You will need alot of work done on the arches if you get 16i alloys I made that mistake, I suggest you stick with the 15inch alloys as the 16's put alot of pressure on the suspension arms (went through 2 sets in a year) and also couldnt full lock the car when turning without rubbing nothing major though! Get a set of PI springs alot of people and read alot of forums said they had problems with other suspension kits, 40mm is perfect! Its up to you though but If I new all this before I bought my SI I had changed alot! Now looking for a FRST been looking for a while but cause am in Edinburgh not easy to find a good one close by!
