what, turbo the 1.6! Pm jonosi, he has a 1.6 turbo si!

But id say 2.0ltr it, will be around the same figures, no turbo lag! I would say cheaper insurance, but im not sure! Will be cheaper to 2.0ltr it than turbo it! ;)

At a guess id say it would be £2000ish! :)

Ye, you should really! Although you can't really tell by looking at the engine if its a 2.0ltr! Its not really worth the hassle if you had a bump and the insurance company find out, you would have to pay for the other persons repair etc, and you'll be done by the police for driving without insurance! :|

Wait till you have 1 NCB and a bit more experience and then do it! Start buying the bits for it and slowly build the engine up! 8-)

yeah i got advised to put an aftermarket manafold and inlet on then slowly build up to a turbo im gna get it all odne eventually cus i love the car...

i got a quote from tesco when i had only been driving 6 months and they wanted an extra £650, but that would have taken my premium up to £2650 :o :o , i thought sod it, i am waiting a few more months and it paid off 8-) , i am in the process of collecting bits for my 2.0 turbo conversion :look: , but by the time i get it done i should have 2 or 3 NCB's

enjoy your Si as it is for the moment, i found my 1.6 more than enough while i was going through my first year of driving experience :look: , build up your experience and while your doing that start collecting bit and bobs as you go along :)

but as matt said it is recommended that the insurance company is informed, when you do an engine change, i have mine declared to my insuance company and i have changed my log book as well 8-)
