Hi im new to the site  i have a 3 door 1.6 si and its in mallard green im stuck because i want the xr/rs arches but i am not sure where to get the paint!!! i work in halfords and made my colour code up and put it in a spray (on the sly) but it doesnt quite match is this jus because its a halfords mix if so where could i get a better one??? cheers scotti !!!!! |

Hi there, i know places local to me that does good paint matching, so where about are you from??? Mixing paint up from the paint code is only ever useful if your car is brand new or if your doing a full respray as your paint on your car is gotta be over 10 years old now and has seen hours of sun light, carwashes etc and will always fade. Good luck with the car anyway

Oh crap yeah sorry, well its a little far for you to come to Northamptonshire just for paint, i would recommend going to a body shop as they might tell you where you can get paint mixed up, no offence but i've used the Halfords stuff and i don't rate it. |

Did you laquer it as well! as pearleasant paints need to be laquered to make the colour come out!
And IIRC theres 3 shades of mallard green! 
Try ford it will be expensive but should match!

yer i was in the car park near the sealife centre lol u goin down there this saturday!!! i must say though my fsi atm is all standard part from lights lol but tht will change soon wld b nice 2 chat 2 ya bout mods if ya up 4 it??? cheers scotty!!!!
