These can be bought for about £50-60 off of ebay, I was just wondering last night about how they would be fitted. It looks like they are similar to the standard mirrors but instead of having the little twiddly manual adjuster they have a short lead coming out with a multiplug on the end. I also saw an electric mirror controller for about 99p which is like a small joystick with what looks like a double multi-plug connector on the bottom. I guess you would mount the joystick on the dash somewhere and run some kind of wiring extension between the multiplug connectors on the joystick and the ones in the mirrors, through the door etc. But where would the mirrors get their power from? would the whole lot have to be wired into the main loom somewhere? The Haynes manual isn't very helpful on all of this because it only covers Mk3 style mirrors, not Mk3.5 style It would be really cool if I could get this working! |

I believe the control goes on the drivers side mirror plate where the normal adjuster would go. The rest would probably mean making your own loom as I have no idea where you would get one of them from. I don't need to bother with this, my french poo already has them ![]() |

Would be pretty easy I think the only hard bits would be getting the wiring through the door etc. If I can source the stuff then I might try doing it to mine in the summer |
