Does anyone know if newer generation ford radios fit older fords, as most of you know i have a mk1 focus which just has a regular cd player, it should have a 6disc cd changer but it must of been swapped by previous owners. I want the proper radio for it but finding one for right price and condition isnt the easiest so i want to widen my horizons and some of the radios in mk2 focus are pretty smart, good few sony ones about. |

Why not just go after market, usually cheaper and better. |

Was thinkin that aswel but not sure what to get, i see lots of dvd ones but id probably never use it. If i go after market id want usb input or atleast memory card input, front AUX input would be nice aswel. |

Something like this? http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/beat-285.html Of course you will need a fascia and maybe wiring harness. |

That seems good and cheap but i dont want to have to get a fascia others i could just use the one in my fiesta, i think it looks crap with a fascia. I want a double din or whatever you call it. |

Aren't the focus a 1.5 din? This wouldn't look bad |

Most radio will lose steering controls, some will support it with an interface box, but you are looking at a more expensive radio + interface. I looked into this for both the C2 and focus and decided it wasn't worth it and I haven't missed it to be honest. Here is a similar thing on my focus, but I think the hole/fascia is bigger on the Mk2, but yo get the idea. ![]() |

Definatly bigger than mine but looks well. Iv just been offered the 6disc in dash cd changer for £60 delivered so will have to think about it, i loce the one in ny fiesta so if i change my mind it wont be an expensive switch. |

Personally I would take an mp3 CD player of 6 disc changer any day, actually thats what happened with the focus. But I can see why people do like to keep standard items etc, for that price you can't go to far wrong and if you want to change it later you can. |

Thats my thinking, in the fiesta i had a memory pen which is brilliant but i want the standard look in the focus. I will sell the current which will give some money back. £60 for this other is cheap enough so if i re sold id make money back. |
