i think you need to replace the whole loom with the one from the donor car so basically itl be a mondeo in a zs shell
although i may be wrong
the more electronically minded folk on here should be able to help more

hi all im pulling the engine out of my zs tonight to put my 2.0 zetec conversion in, im using an efi ho inlet manifold, and piggybacking omex management to run everything, what i need to know is: do i use the 2.0 zetec engine loom for the crank position sensor, coilpack ect ect and the efi inlet loom for the injectors, icv ect ect? is it a case of cutting and joining wires from my existing engine loom and swapping them with the connectors from the 2.0 engine loom (e.g. cut the crank sensor connector off zs loom and join the crank sensor connector off the 2.0 loom?) as much help, info, problems which may occur would be great too cheers rich. |

my 2litre in the si uses the si loom maybe try get one of those? isit a n/a engine or turbo? blacktop or silvertop? |

turbo - i'd consider a full megasquirt set up or something - omex 600 maybe |

its a 2.0 silvertop turbo. ive got the full engine loom off the donor car i was just wondering do i just cut and join the connectors off the 2.0 loom onto my existing zs loom? |

if its piggybacked the origninal ecu should run the incar functions - so he may just need an engine loom - but i can't say 100% |

yea thats y im piggybacking it so i dont have to mess about with the in car functions, but obviously i cant just plug the mondeo loom into my existing ecu so i think ill need to keep my zs loom then swap the connectors over from the mondeo loom onto my zs one am i right ? |
