best things to do imo is: poly bushes, braided brake hoses with good pads, uprated shocks and good tyres..... mk5 suspension dont fit as a straight swap, you could probably make it fit but wouldnt be worth the hastle... as for rear discs, ive never tried these but from what other people who have them told be is there not worth doing for performance but as more of a looks thing hope this helps ya mate ![]() |

St150 front brake set up is a bolt on mod but you need a minimum of 15" wheel You can get a rear disc conversion kit from fiesta centre.com but as said the word is they aren't needed. |

or you can use mk1/2 mondeo V6 front brakes that use a 278mm disc, cheaper than st brakes and much easoer to find in a scrappy, only mods you have to do are drill the caliper carrier mounting holes on the hub to 12mm, if using mondeo discs you will need 3mm spacets to gp between the hub amd the disc or you can use st170 discs or 4x4 cosworth discs (i think), then all ypu need is 15" wheels |

Or you can use Mondeo MK3 calipers and pads with Focus ST170 disks - requires caliper mounting holes bored out, but the disks go straight on. The price of this is in between the ST150 setup And the Mondeo V6 setup. They are 300mm disks so minumum wheel size is 16" unless you get bigG1985's setups he makes, so you can get the whole kit new for i think it was £175, which is a few quid more than a second hand ST150 setup, but it's better and new. This is the 300mm setup i bought from bigG, with 16" Mondeo Zetec wheels: ![]() The calipers have been modded to fit Escort GTi wheels, but he can also do it to fit Zetec-S wheels too |

The first braking mod you should do on a MK3 is get a Mondeo Servo and Master Cylinder and get braided lines. |
