Hey there I'm looking to convert my 1.6 si to a 1.8 16v from an rs1800 fiesta I'm going to do it myself but before I start ripping into it I would like to know exactly what I'll need to change and what problems I may encounter I'll be getting the parts from a mate that is braking a whole rs1800, the rs1800 doesn't have a pats system where as my car does will that just be made redundant or do I have change something else?, cheers nick

you will also need the engine bay loom as by the sounds of it the rs loom is external edis type

you will need the enigne bay loom
ecu
engine with maf tb and manifold
also the exhaust manifold and cat
you can use the gearbox from the si if you want

Could he not use his existing loom with a 2.0 ECU on an RS1800 engine?

Decided against it now just going to drive it to death then get something big and shouty for my next car :)
