Hi guys I need your help, I have a fiesta 1.1lx Si replica and an escort mistral cab, I need to know how to sort the wiring loom as I've not got a clue about electrics? I also here everything will drop out of my escort straight into the fiesta, I know it's identical to the Si engine and apparently the engine/gearbox driveshafts, engine mounts ect will drop right in, the thing I'm stuck on is the loom, how do you go about converting it ect? Any help is good help and any advice on this conversion and any probs I might face in doing it will be much appreciated, many thanks Carl |

Cheers mate it check it out, was gonna use the escort loom but not sure how to go about it, or might just get a Si loom and save cuttin anything, I want to keep it cheep and use most of the resources I have :-) |

wouldnt bother with a 1.6 personally go for a 1.8 or 2ltr |

2.0lt zetec turbo will go in after the 1600 zetec, but wanna bring my insurence down a bit first, my 1600 engines has been cam'd, ported/polished, chipped and bigger injectors ect by the previous owner |

What kinda power is it producing with them mods? Are you going to declare them on the insurance? lol |

Im not too sure to be honest? it pulls like a train in a heavy cab so should make the fiesta a real pocket rocket, as for the insurence, I won't declare the mods but I will inform them of the engine change as well as the Dvla, if I had my way I would of kept the 1.1 gear box, but it wouldn't last too long, would of been fun while it lasted lol |

My engine has supposedly been ported and polished could not tell if it has or not though. |

Youll only know for sure if u take the head off and check factory dimensions against your dimentions I guess? |

bit off subject but how do you port and polish a head has anybody got any comparison pics as this intrests me as i want to do it

You take it to a cylinder head specialist and they do it all for u, there's one in Telford, Shropshire called head techniques |

All you do is make the ports bigger, which is porting. and polishing is the process of making them very smooth - like a polished surface. that increased maximum air flow and the velocity of which it travels
