Those that have done the 2.0 conversion on a 1.6 Si - what fuel rail did you use?
My options seem to be:
a) Fit the 2.0 fuel rail as it is - preferred option, but it looks like the Mondeo flexible pipes are the wrong shape and will catch on the throttle linkage and be too short.
b) Swap the 2.0 injectors etc in to a 1.8/1.6 fuel rail so that I can use the correct Fiesta flexible pipes.
Apparently the 2.0 fuel rail has a slightly different pipe fitting that would stop me connecting it to the Fiesta pipes?

Thanks all. Thats two with the 2.0 fuel rail and two with the 1.8. Had a look in the members gallery and from the photos I have seen it looks like there's a mixture of people using each type (though still looks like the mondeo pipes will hit the throttle linkage to me). Guess I'll just see what looks like working best when I fit the engine. If anyone has photos of the mondeo pipes fitted to the car that could be useful.

There's mo difference mate there exactly the same as the 1.6 ones. All I've done is just move the pipe by the ISCV under the throtle bodie, that's all.

That's the difference - mondeo pipe doesn't have the bend that is formed in to the 1.6/1.8 pipe to route it near the ISCV. Is this not going to chafe and stop the throttle closing properly?

Also doesn't reach this mounting bracket, though that's probably less of a problem

Maybe you have the 2 litre fuel rail from a black top as I have recently done this and the 2 litre one bolted straight on and it had the formed bend in the pipe and still reached the mounting bracket!!!

I would just swap the pipes from your si rail and job done!!! :thumbsup:

I bought the 2.0 engine in the photo as a complete assembly with the fuel rail and plastic inlet manifold (just as it was taken out of a mondeo) so it's definitely from a silvertop. I might investigate swapping the pipes, but this site says the fittings are different:
