sorry if this is a very obvious question lads but is it possible to take 2.0 or 1.8 cams and put them in a 1.6? thanks in advance!

I think hes goin 1.6 because of insurance. Although to 2 engines look pretty much the same. . . |

my insurance on my 2.0 only went up by £80 a year, if you try need to insure they are really cheap for 2L fez's! |

i was wondering the same thing dave, if a set of 1.8 105 spec cams would fit. but then again the 1.6 valves are still to small anyways. |

jus swap the engine and dont tell the insurance are they really goin to whip the manifold off to chect the block if ur involved in a claim? no! |

from the top you would have to remove the inlet mani to see the 20 marked on the back of the block. but as soon as the car is on a ramp you can see there is a massive space behind the engine. |

i wouldnt risk it if it was me though and im not. i do plan on going to 2.0 power eventually ut when i can afford the insurance and the rest of the car is sorted out. vosa are doing alot of checks atm around my area and i have seen them bringing loads of vehicles into an inspection area near my work. |
