Hi everybody. I'm from Bulgaria and recently buyed Fiesta Si 1,6 16V. I want to put a cone (sport) air filter, but the mechanic at our local Ford service told me not to do it because there's high chance to damage the MAP sensor. Is that true? Has anyone had problem with its MAP when fitted such air filter? I'm asking because MAP isn't cheap at all.
Also is it required to replace the plastic air feed (the one with sticker 1,6 90ps injection) with pipe or I can just bolt the filter directly infront of the MAP.

I put my K&N filter just on the end of the sensor and never had any problems with it at all :) With regards to the breather hose that you'll be left with, you can just tuck it away and let it breathe to air. It doesnt matter.

never had any problems with mine iv got a 1.8 escort gti one on so i can put the breather in dont know if over there u have gti's

We have only K&N here, but they are very expensive. However there are lots of noname that look just like K&N or any other performance filter and their price is about 10-20% of the price of K&N. Anyway I don't expect any power gain just want a different sound.

Mouse is your's any different from the Si one, because when I looked up which model I needed for my Si it came up the same K&N kit fits both the Fiesta Mk3.5 and Escort Mk5.
