Does anyone know if a Escort RSTurbo S2 gearbox (LSD) is a direct bolt on to a zetec?
Or does it need modding

i think it direct direct bolt on mr :thumbsup:
ford used that bellhousing on all ib5 boxes and used them on various engines so i hink im right lol

direct bolt on, no mods required as i have one on my 2.0 :thumbsup:

It's just i've seen one on ebay for £125 so i'm gunna get that.
Tempted to get ware_10 to make me a refurbed si box with longer 5th gear and lsd

the gap at the back is where the starter motor goes on the mk5/6 escort models
its a peephole for the clutch on fiestas :thumbsup:

you talking about the hole on the back of the 2.0 block? iirc thats where the starter would go on the mondeo

i just had a blanking plate made up and bolted it to the gearbox to protect my fly wheel :D

imo id fubar off the Si box completely, now ive driven a 2.0 with a S2 box i wont ever have another box, the ratio's imo are spot on, its not ever felt like its run out of puff :shock: , the lsd is a massive help tho :thumbsup: :D

Yeah, bit of sheet metal and gasket sealant will do lol.

I'll see how this gearbox runs and if it runs ok i'll keep it, if not i'll just use the LSD and chuck the box :)
