In my autoexpress thread in "general" I noticed that the Si in those pics has colour coded mirrors so today in work I had a look at the door mirror catalogue and sure enough there are colour coded, electric and heated mirrors for the mk3 :D Just wondering how difficult it would be to fit electric ones? for instance is the wiring in place or would I have to fit that? Also having these mirrors would mean I'd have all four buttons on the dash :lol: 8-)

The other thing im interested in is that gearknob in the pics. In all the mags ive got the Si's has white numbers whereas it seems they where sold with black ones :rolleyes: Do you think an Escort of a similar age would have one?

4th button on the dash is the heated front screen, not the mirrors.

I don't think the loom would be there to be honest. TBH I didn't think Si's came with them, I thought it was something reserved for the Ghia.

Screen loom is supposed to be easy to make up.

The gear knob is from the Ghia.

Ah damn it I thought that button was to heat the mirrors :( If the wiring isn't there does that make it impossible to fit them?

I'm interested in getting some electric mirrors in my Si

Scan from June 1995 Fiesta catalogue clearly shows Si with electric mirrors (which were an optional extra).

The question is would the main loom have the wiring for the mirrors and you just need to snag some door looms from the scrappies or would you need the main loom from an Si/Ghia with electric mirrors?

Or could you adapt a mk4/5 main loom/door looms?
