Just wondering whos running PAS and who isnt, i was thinking of switching to non-PAS for a better driving feel. what does everyone think?.. obv steering will be heavier ect.. The other thing i was thinking about is a quick ratio steering rack but not sure of any prices or what to do as i havnt lookeed into it yet. So if anyone can let me know their opinions that would be great. Cheers

Personally i'd keep PAS unless it was for a track car, for a more open track. I'd keep it if it was for small tight and technical circuit. |

Yeah, ford manage to make PAS racks still have most of the road feel. I don't know how they do it but it just works lol. So yeah, unless it is serious track then there is no point switching. |

im doing my best to keep it on the rs project as i hate the thought of not having it when parking at asda etc where the spaces are smaller!! |

Even an s2 106 which weighs 800kg is a ballache without and i drive it daily! |

I've not got PAS and I personally think that after having PAS I preffer the feel (when flat out) of the non-PAS lol But yer it's a proper pain trying to parrallel park lol |

Ive had converted my si to non pas (partly due to blacktop conversion) How ever, i prefer the feel of non pas, you get used to it and i dont think mine feels heavey. Im sure a new rack, lower joint, and regreased column have a lot to do with this. |

you need to think about your wheel sizes too when your making the choice. my car has no pas but only has light 13s with 185 tires so i can still turn the wheel with the palm of my hand when parking. but if you have bigger wheels with grippy tyres then it will be much harder. |

im now more confused on what to do.. im gona sort out my tracking first then see if it feels any better with pas if not ill look into non-pas a bit more |

im getting rid of my leaking pas on my si one less thing to leak, i used to have a mk2 fiesta and i prefered how it felt.....it felt more bolted together and felt safer imo |
