Does anybody know if the Escort RS2000 rear beam is a direct bolt on for the fiesta Si, or does it have to be modified?

I know most ford things are pick and mix lol but i don't know about this one :S

beam wont..but the hubs will bolt to the fiesta beam...mod it slightly for the handbrake cable to clear it. custom brake pipes

iirc you need the earlier 2WD handbrake cable and some cable spacers

So if we were to make a list it would go something like this?

Fiesta rear beam
RS2000 calipers
RS2000 hubs
RS2000 disks
RS2000 2WD handbrake cable
RS2000 2WD handbrake cable spacers

the cable spacers will have to be made..they are not a ford part...the rear discs were also fitted to 130 spec XR3is

it is and it isnt. ive never done a guide because it actually involves alot of sodding about with brakes..i wasnt fussed by it..some people are freaked by it..and some should be banned from even holding the most basic rudimentary tools let alone play about with one of the most safety critical parts of a car!

brake pipes youll have to sort out. (flexi's)
reshape where the backplate bolts onto the beam so it clears the handbrake linkage. (reads break out the grinder!)
master cylinder and servo as the fiesta pedal will go shit...and owing to the fact they are bigger than whats on the front of a fiesta as std you will be needing bigger ones on the front. (needs to be NON ABS mk6 escort to be direct fit as MK5 has diff union threads.and that needs to be modified aswell)
pressure reducers...i used the escort ones that came off of the donor item.

I was gunna get a master cylinder and servo off an escort along with Festa ST setup on the front.

Other than that it seems rather straight forward

If your going to the hassle of getting Fiesta ST fronts, you can also run Fiesta ST rears, which not many people seem to have done

the stud pattern of the stub is different....which means get a later fiesta beam.
