just wundering if anyone on here has done a 2 litre turbo conversion on an si? i would be using a mondeo silver top engine. just thinking if its worth it money wise  i know i would have to uprate the internals but where do i go to get the bits i need? ie websites etc |

I would like to give it a go. Just didn't know if I needed custom parts etc. Got to get hold of an engine first  Plus there's a guy who lives down the road from me who knows engines like the back of his hand and is shithot on his fords. He built my mates ka turbo for him so I might ask him for a hand if I'm stuck. |

just had a look on the website and they want £3200 just for an engine!  i cant really afford that

my mate had a 2.1 fiesta turbo and it went like sh*t of a shovel he had calibra turbo pistons in it so if you going to build the engine yourself try and find a set plus the engine will need rebore but it is worth it  i am sure that is right but someone will correct me if i am wrong

mondeo engines are easy enough to grab. not sure about the calibra pistons though. do you know what manifold he used? |

use calibra turbo pistons, get woods to help source you some, use a standard head, standard cams,use a mk1 frs manifold with the GT25/T25(i think its the GT25 turbo they use), uprated S2 box with a frst inlet, job done  with either MS management or frst OFAB management for cheapness, just need to mod the fuel rail i think to accept side fed injectors

good good i have been in contact with CW looms about what they can do and they're looking to reproduce both the ofab and ofac looms check here http://www.turbo.me.uk/, they use 2 decomp plates and MS managemet

Not definatly doing this as I don't have any space to store the car and there alot of custom stuff needed and don't think I can afford it. But we will see
