Try it without. If the pedal is sh*t then change it. And then you will have a mental pedal
It had rear discs when it turned red.

thinking of doin a rear disc conversion on my si and i have 283mm mondy v6 brakes up front. but i heared that the rear discs lock up bad if you use standard master cylinder, so is there a bigger better one u can fit? |

Rear brakes only lock up of you have standard on the front, as your putting bigger on the front, it should be fine! |

yea think so. its the bigger pistons i think mate. my mates escort with 300mm mondeo v6 brakes and my other mates 106 rallye with GTI-6 brakes are both exactly the same. but my mate with the 106 put the gti 6 master cylinder on his and he sed it was loads better! |

as said. Bullsh*t. It was a typical ft.com thing. One person, most likely a chav... put rear discs on and when he crashed claimed that it was the rear discs which had locked his rear end up and made him crash. When really it was probably his driving or shonky car. One of them things that people take as gospel cause somebody said about it once. I know plenty of people that have had rear discs, with standard fronts and bigger fronts, also with the bigger escort mk6 servo. And nothing like that happened to them. My pickup didnt even lock up the back end! and that was lighter on the back end so surely that would have done it easier? |

ahh rite lol so do you guys reckon ill need the bigger master then? or shall i just try it 1st and see what its like? i didnt realise you had discs on the back of the pickup. my old car used to lock up the back brakes at low speeds. and that was the standard drums. lol was great 4 a bit of left foot braking into hairpins thou lol |

ai ill have a play and see what happens! does it make much difference to braking then?? thinking about it now thou my mate got 300MM Brakes on the front of his scort and rs2ks on the back and he doesnt get any problems. |

It makes the pedal very easy to lock the car up. Or so I found! Worth while if your pedal has got shite when upgrading to bigger brakes |

aww rite nice. u cant with which my front 1s now. they are awesome at high speeds but if your going fairly slow. you either gota stop slowly ish or you lock up lol |
