Help! This evening I've just picked up a set of Zetec S shocks & springs (front and rear) off a W reg and the plan was to put these on my budget track car (Fiesta Mk3). They were cheap and I noticed that they didn't have the top mounts (spring seats, thrust bearing and cup seats) so I just assumed I could use the ones off my standard mk3 shocks but I've just got them home and the Zetec springs look wider and now I'm worried I can't use the bits off my standard shocks. Does anyone know if I've dropped a clanger or will the springs fit once compressed? |

The back ones will not fit as the top is a different set up at the top of the shock. Front i think may fit, i compared a mk3 and mk4/5 at work a while back and iirc the look preety dam simlilar. |

Cheers. I think I'm going to flog these on, more trouble than they're worth. Anyboby have any shocks and springs off an SI for sale? Anywhere in the west midlands would be ideal. |
