I have found a 5 door Si the same colour as mine being broken in a scrapies down the road from me and I started thinking about all the parts I could steal off of it. I'm sure I can remember somebody speaking about using the rear arches for the front and it looking nice, but was that from an Si or another Mk3? And if it is from an Si, is the fact that it's coming from a 5 door matter on my 3 door?

Atm I am taking the bonnet (Because mine got vandalised) and I'm gonna try smoothing the one I'm taking off mine. But other than the bonnet, and possibly arches, what else can I steal off of it? The engine is supposedly nackered but I don't know the details.

What would you guys advise to take off of it that I could use or practice stuff on or whatever.

By the way, save me starting another topic, what viscosity oil are you guys using? I'm on 5W40 but I'm losing lots out the exhaust so I'm thinknig about going up to a 10 minimum to see if some will stay in my engine.

as get as many sensor as you can off it, you never know when you'll need them :lolz:

i think it was the si that people mentioned, using the front arch spats on the rear ;)

5W30 is the baby your meant to be using :chill:

Got the bonnet off of it, and after actually looking at my car I realised that t's the front arches I need for the rear, but someone has already had off with them. I'm gonna take the rear lights to tint them, incase I mess up and get drips or whatever. I'm gonna swap the bonnets over and respray the vandalised one, and I'm gonna try smoothing it, then refit it to the car.

And I'm definately losing oil because of something other than it's viscosity, I lost about half a litre on a 40 mile journey so I'm looking into that. but I'm gonna change to a 10 anyway, to see if I can save some money in the meantime.

in the owners manual it says use 5w30 but in the castrol book it says 10w40 for some reason :squint:

Use 5w30 only. Burning oil that much would indicate your piston rings are shot!
