I looked up why you might need them and all I got was saxo chavs saying they look "gash" and don't have them as a show piece only if you have a turbo.. So, is that what there for? To release some of the engine heat? Because besides looking god, my engine bay gets very very hot after even only a short drive. So I'm thinking I may actually benefit slightly. If anyone knows of any reasons why I shouldn't go ahead and buy them. Then do tell me now. They do look quite cool.. Don't you agree? |

Driving with bonnet raisers should force air in to the engine to help cooling. In my case I need them cause the bonnet won't shut cause of the big samco induction hoses. I actually like the standard shut look better and get real tired of people telling me my bonnets open, even though it opens from the other end

If you need to let heat out, I think you should look into why! The engines bound to get hot but as long as you're not boiling coolant and popping head gaskets what's the problem? Plus they look gash. |

Every engine gets hot, maybe it's just because my engine is more powerful than my old one, it just gets alot hotter than the old one used to. I don't see nothing wrong with putting a bit more air in, and I think they look pretty good. |

you see where im coming from bro,. no disrespect to anyone who has or prefers the £6 ones, i actually suggested them to someone not long ago who was after some cheap ones but the amount of money spent on a lot of our rides get spoilt with shitty finishing touches and unfortunatly its the crap bits that people remember the cars for!!
