hey i got a 1.8 escort gti engine box loom and ECU want to fit to my fiesta but not sure about if its going to go in anyone done this and could shed some light on the subject

i'm presuming your wanting to drop it into your 1.6 16v Si?

if yes, then iirc the GTi engine will straight drop in with little or no parts needing to be swapped over, maybe the inlet and exhaust manifolds?!

as for the ecu, i have no idea if that'll work with the Si loom, do you know if the ecu has external pats?

ECU is no good, internal PATS.

A BLOB ecu is for a 1.8, will fit the si 16v loom and has external pats

no its going in place of my 1.4 8v i was told i needed to change my inlet manifold but not sure about the rest the ECU is a JEST but like i said i got the complete wiring loom for under the bonnet

no no, we said if you wanted an RS1800 inlet manifold it would be a good idea :) you shouldn't need to change it....or do you :lol: no idea :lol:

this is a completely different engine mate so for starters u need new mounts.
different inlet exhaust maniflods.

loom, ecu. think u need a new fuel pump 2.
mite have to change the whole loom aswel, not many poeple know much about if the zetec engine loom will work with 1.4 interior loom. plus u may have porblems with your clifford alarm aswel coz thats gona be wired in sumwer like.
