i need to know if a k and n induction kit would be able to be fitted in a ford fiesta mk4 ghia 1.3
i have just had a sportex exhaust backbox fitted wth 4 inch jap slash cut tailpipe and it sounds good but i know my car would be so much better if i had an induction kit fitted.
many thanks

On my 1.1 (back in the day) I got a K&N panel filter and driller the air box.

Gave a good sound if nothing else.

im guessing yoiu would have to fit a filter from a bigger enigne car, to yous. as im not sure but they very rarly make performace air filters for small enigned cars, unless a GT type model.

Have a look at BMC filters, i had a enclosed one on my audi, sounds ACE. but aint cheap.

replacment pannel filter is a gd way to go. and well drilled air box is FREE and we all like that price! and if you look bout a couple of years ( more than i would like to think about) is an old PF mag rs speical i think showed that a performance pannel filter and drilled box, gave the best power gain from all they tested encluding top of range induction kits!

As i say look at BMC, if there is abything you like let me know and i will sort you out with your FSI discount.

oh right sounds good how much would a panel filter be from bmc then?
i am always a bit put off by panel filters because i always feel they will not give as much power as an induction kit
please reply back
many thanks

To be honest there isn't much to gain on a 1.3 anyway.

Not sure if bmc do panels for your engine, I know K&N do. Ebay may be a good starting point.

As for drilling the air box, its round with the filter in the middle, only drill around the outside of the filter if that makes sense. (makes more sense when you dismantle it.
