does any manufacture make performance cams for the 2.0 zetec mondy lump? i have read a bit about doing the conversion but havent seem to read much about people camming them...? |

Piper definately do, and i'd put money on kent doing a set. Must be more Ford specific tuning companies out there. You guys are spoilt for choice with your common as muck engines! |

lets see. piper, kent, newman (thier customer service and advice was spot on  ) company called cat cams (they have advertised in fast ford) umm those are the main ones i can think of for zetecs. some of the race engine builders do thier own cams and sell them through thier websites, dunnell etc. depends how mad you want to go. anything sensible will keep the hydraulic tappets. the larier cams require oversize solid lifters and the higher lift ones require a change of valve spring to stop bind. the general fast road ones will fit without a change in spring but anything wilder than that wont. always use new followers. plenty of cam lube and follow the running in instructions. ooops edit dont forget to factor in the cost of vernier pulleys to fine tune the cam timing. 95 fiesta si?? is it a noticable differeance in power?? i hear people say about idle lumpy with cams...? is this always the case or just not set up correctly? Cheers, Grant |

you do get the lumpy tick over but i think that sounds awsome i had a massive cam in with my nova just about cut out when it turned over but worth it when you hit 4000 rmp in 1st and 2nd it just lit up the tryes and that was in a 1.6 gte enginewith some other bits aswell and also 17s body kit and intsal so god knows what it would be like in a striped out nova quick im guessing |

My pipers weren't to bad for idle, gave it a nice burble. To be honest if I could go back I wouldn't have bothered and saved the money, as great as it was it just wasn't worth the cost. |

Don't bother doing cams unless your going to go further on other things. Mappable ECU Different induction Exhaust manifold otherwise your just throwing loads of money as an engine still running the standard ecu |

What paul said, the cams need other parts to perform at there best so would be hard to say what part gives what power when your using a combination of performance parts. |
