Hi Guys

Got me project underway this week at last,

Looking to just re use the 1.6si box, inlet maniflod etc and keep costs low, wondered what the deal is with the EGR valves and circuits. Seems people have left them off on here. If i did will it fail emmisions straight out?

Also i fitted a 3" cat back stainless system a few years back to it, and wondered your thoughts on removal of the cat? I am very tempted, but would like to here more of you guys feedback first..

Hi Again,

Have got the engine in there yesterday at long last with out major problems. EGR removed from the manifold. Having some running issues so far -
Dosent want to pick up well and not feeling right at all. Connected the MAF and seemed happier for a time, but then same. Before i get too involved in checking things that are fine anyway, How did you guys isolate the wiring from the pulse air system box, and the EGR circuit behind the inlet manifold. I guess at the moment the loom is still connected to the valve at the back there.

I have just joined the two connections on the inlet manifold to themselves to blank them off


HELP!!!!
