i have got a mk3 1.8 8V and i just wanted to no if a 1.8D gear box would go on? and if it did would it be Crap lol?

if its a mk3 fiesta or mk4 escort box yeah it will, but it will make a admittedly slow car, slower

Erm 1st off, 1.8 8v mk3? Any BC gearbox will bolt on, just swap over the brackets for fiesta ones. 1.1 - 1.4 really low ratios ideal for 1/4 miles, no top end at all 1.6 16v good for acceleration 1.6 8v good all round 1.8 16v good all round 1.8 16v rs1800 longer ratios slightly my fav is ERST S2, will bolt straight on and is great on acceleration and top end (with 2.0) and has added benefit of LSD |
