Hey everyone, ima take some MODS over the next week, just need some advice really.

First of..

Mud flaps: Yay or Nay & Which ones ?

Drums and Calipers: Shall i paint them myself ? What colors ? And how should i proceed about painting them, were & what can i buy to do this.

Lowering Springs: At the moment i got 15inch alloys, there is quite a bit of rubbings so i already need to use spacers to prevent it. So with that in mind, how much could i possibly lower my SI by Front & Back ?

Performance Chip: Erm what is it ? and is it worth the money ?

1.6 Conversion: What engine should i convert my 1.4 into ? i got told converting to a 1.6 is so much easier :/ ?

De locking: Erm yea, seen it around and im intregued. How do i do it and pictures please ?

Mud flaps: Personally no, but if you do, try get genuine ford fiesta ones.

Calipers and drums: Yea paint them yourself, get a tin of hammerite, clean the calipers and drums with brake cleaner and a wire brush also some wipes or tissure can come in handy, put a couple of coats on. Easy as that. Colour is up to you too

Red is popular. But dont to the drums, it is a bit chavvy, if you do them, paint them black and make them look new

Lowering springs: People have different views on this, because they like their car at different heights. I personally think (and im sure Dave G will too) 35mm is a good height to lower it.

Engine. Bang an XR2i 8v CVH into it. 110bhp, decent torque and you'll be slapping Zetec S owners around the face all day long :hsugh:

How's that gonna run with a 1600cc head on it, complete with cam from the 2i. :hmm:

Not great I'd imagine. Surely putting it all in at once would be a better combination. Let's face it they're not expensive to get hold of. I would've given mine away :hsugh:
