im currently studying mechanics at college but am not the most confident to do a conversion by myself. Just wondered if there is anyone near were i live (guildford..ish) that could help me out ? obviously id pay for labour and your cups of tea of coarse :) :)

elo agen m8. yh 2.0 prefferably :) wud love the RS turbo but if problems occured i dnt fink id b capable of fixing it maself... and fookin rare to get a gd one lol and its ma daily driver.

much differance between rs1800 and 2.0 silvertop?

rs1800 lump will drop straight in with no parts needed swapping over

rs1800 tend to rev more but have a little less torque than the 2.0 silver top

2.0 silver top will need bits swapping off your old 1.6 but its piss easy :thumbsup:

if i can get mobile again pretty sharpish i'll come up and give you a hand :thumbsup:

are you looking to get it done really really soon?

nah not urgent.. just read alot about it and seems to be the best thing to do in order to gain most power in ratio to how much i spend

i rang demon tweeks asking how much a set ov cams would be... £550 !!!!!!! :doh: :( with onli estimated 12bhp gain lol stuff that

but the 2 litre has more scope for tuning as it has 130bhp stnadard where the RS1800 has cams etc on the normal 1.8 :thumbsup:

i would of thought that the 2.0 would be cheaper and easier to find seeing as they came from a mondeo. fewer RS1800 lumps about
