Has anybody here done or heard of anyone fitting mk3 suspension to a mk3.5? I have Koni adjustables on my xr2i but im removing them to fit to my si.

Now so far i know I have had to change the wishbones and hubs to mk3 gear along with trackrod ends.The driveshafts for the mk3 need to be used also due to their spline size being different in a mk3.5 but what ive come across is a problem with the length of the shaft being too short and not fully going through the hub...BEARLY tbh!

Just want some advice please :look:

Only way i can see Me fixing the issue is changing the xr2i hub side cv joint knuckle onto the fiesta mk3.5 shafts but its wether or not the spline size continues up the shaft.


P.S. bet all this talk about shafts is turning one of you on lol

i bought some mk3 shocks and tried fitting them to my mk3.5 as soon as i realised the shocks were thinner than the hole in the hub i sent them back lol,
my thoughts were f*&k this i'm not sourcing 2i shafts hubs wishbones etc... lol

sorry doesnt really answer your question :/

Its ok mate its a free bump atleast hehe

MK3.5 Stuff is Chassis,Engine,Gearbox,Anti roll bar,Droplinks,Steering rack.

MK3 Stuff is Hubs,Driveshafts,Track rod ends and wishbones.

This is as far as both driveshafts will go through the hubs lol

With the washer you cant even see the threads lol

SORTED IT!

I got that annoyied with the driveshafts not fully locating in the hubs that I just took a hammer to it lol Fits fine now :thumbsup:

Got my 280mm Mondeo setup fitted with all new seals and pads,Also repainted them a nice clean silver and fitted braided hoses.

put some copper grease on the threads, makes taking apart much easier if you have to again and also means it all slots together very easily if you wire brush the splines on the shafts first :thumbsup:
