		<td colspan="2"><hr class="sep" />Hi guys im hopeing you can help <img src="./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><br />  I have a fiesta Si 1.6 16v and i want to increse the engines performance. I have already done things such as change the exhaust system and the induction kit. I have been told about changing the engine to a more powerfull one but i dont really have that sort of time or cash and was wondering if there are other ways to increse the performance. <br />Also i recently had the clucth changered then shortly after the clutch cable went on me.... I changed this but have now found that the clutch seems to slip and the bite point is a lot higher, I am aware that this is supposed to be a self ajusting clutch cable ( so they say ) but it does not appear to have settled down, Have i missed something when fitting or was i supposed to reset something <img src="./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /> thanks for your help guys  <img src="./images/smilies/icon_thumbsup.gif" alt=":thumbsup:" title="Thumbs Up" />

		<td colspan="2"><hr class="sep" />can't help you with your clutch i will do soon when mine packs up good and proper..<br />regarding the performance question - it is very difficult to get more performance from the 1.6 engine (this is coming from someone whose tried it).<br />i've done exhaust/induction/chip/cams/flowed head. luckily all my mods have been ebay bargins (more or less). i think with a remap it would be around 115bhp area, but for the money already spent its simply not worth it.<br />cost effective way =<br />books 1 - 2 weeks off work -<br />buy good condition 2.0 and bits of conversion £150ish<br />do conversion yourself*<br />*if this is not possible then get a quote from a decent ford tuner. it'll be cheaper than you think, especially when you consider what mods for 1.6 would cost you..

		<td colspan="2"><hr class="sep" />the best way as you said for performance is to go to 2litre, only other way without porting heads ect is throttle bodies or carbs, but thats not really worth the expense for gain on a 1600, <br />reference the clutch, once you have fitted the new clutch with the automatic adjuster you need to pull the pedal up as high as it will go to reset the adjuster and then push the pedal down a few time to automatically adjust it up again.
