i have an air filter coming on tuesday a pipercross px500 and wanted to know whats the easiest way to get a cold feed to them without modding the bonnet as i dont want spend money on having a scoop i have two options im thinking but not sure if thye will work 1. remove the scuttle panel and get a cold feed from the grill 2. use bonnet raisers in which i will be looking into soon |

remove the fog lights and get a 80mm hole drill and drill to holes in the front panel. then get to 80mm ducting vents from a diy store and screw them behind the foglights, sealing the edges with a goods silicone sealant. then get two 1.5 metre lengths of 80mm hose, and run them to the throttle bodies. it is a bit of a tight fit between the washer bottle but it does work, if you get a black fine mesh you can cover the foglight surrounds and it looks pretty standard. my throttle bodies arent fitted yet but i have all the cold air feeds to feed the done already. its a bit more work than fitting a scoop but if doesnt spoil the lines of the car. |

ive done a simular set up to Si_2000 by the sound of things  it is a bit tight for the duct around the washer bottle and would be better to remove it and fit a smaller one else where, also you need a half decent hole saw to get through the panel. Some form of bonnet scoop would possible be better though |

thanks but i have the angel eye fogs on me car and really dont want to remove them good idea though |

morettes are good for cold air feeds, i have a set im am using on the track to feed me oil cooler. |

Cut the bulkhead to open it up to the scuttle. A piece of pipe isn't gonna do beans! |

You normally get negative displacement at the bottom of the windscreen so the effect will assist in feeding the trumpets. |

Coolest air in the scuttle, best to get the air from there, there's a picture on the RallyeRegister showing air flow etc, ill try and find it!

i need to get na air filter on aswell because the car has started to missfire and hestitate when i leave it idling i think it could be down to it sucking crap in what do u peeps think |

holy shit, yes get a filter lol. scuttle induction is the big thing at the moment with the clio boys
