A mod not seen too often so gave it a go. Removal of the fried-egg look on clear rear lights in photos. New bulbs, remains of the internal orange lens and the finished article minus bulb:  Standard rear lights were fitted during this incased I fubar'd them:  And on the car, job complete:   However, I did notice that Silvatec bulbs aren't that bright, pic of them on:  Note to self, may actually keep the standard rears on

1 or 2 taps with a hammer & screwdriver seperated the orange cap from the lens, then it was just the case of breaking it down into pieces small enough to get it to come out the bulb hole. Can't use a dremel or saws etc because it creates static and lots of dust which will never come out lol. |

Great mod mate, I've also noticed that Silvatec bulb ain't so great on the brightness

Cheers. I have been thinking about LEDs because I've already got LED stop/tail and foglight bulbs and they're really good. It's just that for a start you have to mess with load resistors or swap 4 corners and use a different relay. Missions. Not just that but I like the pulsing orange flash on the fiesta and don't think the sharp LED flashing would look good lol. |

that does look good makes the whole thing look cleaner maybe interested in doing this but i think some brighter bulbs are a must |

Absolutely. I was interested in getting some Philips Silver Vision to test out too but they only make them in offset-pins so no good for the rear  . In the sun you can't even see the silvatech bulbs
