Guyssss, you know the puma gear linkage... is it a direct swap to my car with a b5 gearbox instead of the puma ib5? Or does it require modding?

I had a look at this, my understanding is that it'll fit but if you use a BC5 box then it wont spring back to the centre when in neutral as the IB5 has the return spring in the box but the BC5 uses a return spring in the linkage.

That make sense?

as for the hole where the mondeo starter goes i just made a cardboard template, cut it in a bit of thin metal, drilled a hole in in where the bell housing hole was, nut and bolted it in job done :thumbsup:

i think i still have it somewhere :shock:

That linkage looks bodged so i think i might just save up for a b&m.
Engines all ready to drop in now, anyone want any bits of the old 1.6 before i bin it?

Yeah ive got the tensioner paul, could do with a new pulley though cause it sounds a bit gritty lol. And ben. I have the housing too.. other useful parts are the sump for 2.0 conversions... err the cam cover if you wanted one to spray, i have 3 of those btw lol

Guys i may be sounding a bit blonde here but have any of you got pics of how to wire the alternator and starter? Ive been left with a fairly chunky red wire with no room or slack to fit it anywhere
