i think my T34 was a bit OTT

So even with a t34 can you get away with only different pistons?

yeah,if i was spec'ing mine again for a pretty solid budget build id go for..

C20LET pistons with Standard Rods and ARP Rod bolts
Standard head and Cams
Modified Block for the breather etc
ERST Exhaust Manifold
T34
FRST Inlet using an adapter plate
Suitable sized injectors ( speak to ian howell from area six )

Still not sure whether to keep the OFAB gear off of my FRST when I break it in case I fancy doing something like this in the future or just sell it on when I start to break it

if your planning on doing something like this in the future scott i'd keep it, as i had an issue getting a full ofab loom and ecu with all the sensors!

its a cheap affective way to get you on the road if you dont want to fork out for aftermarket management!

could i get away with my rs1800 inlet and 2.0 throttle body?
Or does it have to be FRST

Also, doesnt a FRST exhaust manifold fit the zetec, or would you use the ERST manifold for the bigger turbo.

yeah, i heard that nissan 200sx injectors work on the rs1800 fuel rail.
Does the ERST manifold bolt straight on or does that need an adaptor plate too?

iirc it all lines up correctly but a few of the bolts need to be re drilled and tapped

As i know FRST turbos with manifold and oil pipes range from £50-£150
