Yeah cheers.

We were using some spray on lubricant my friend had from his work which worked fine to get the piston in but the powder coat left no space to get the piston seal on to the rim.

It was all sorted the next day as my friend took them to work and used some emery cloth to remove the powder coat around the seal area.

Annoyingly I can't fit them yet because my friend took them to his work to get the dust seal on and left them there before going to Spain on a test run so I have to wait for him to come back now. This is the longest ever bolt on modification  :(

nah, the longest bolt on mod was me fitting my mondeo v6 calipers, bought in january, then sent them off for shot blasting, then the bloke disappeared for 8 months!! so i bought another set, took trhem somewhere else to get shot blasted, then the pistons were siezed right in, finnally got them out after 3 hours, then sent back to the bloke to powder coat them which took forever, went to fit them with the new discs and pads and it wouldn't line up with the discs!! turns yout i needed a 3mm spacer to fit them lol, i then made some out of brass fitted them and they now work awesome, a week after i fitted them i get my 1st set of calipers back not shot blasted!!
8 months to fit some calipers, beat that lol

well i got these the 15th July so its coming up to 3 months lol. I bought them then couldnt decide whether to paint them or powder coat. found a powder coater but then that fell through so had to find another one. had just decided not to bother and to fit them as they were (the scratched blue picture at the top) then found another powder coaters who said they could do it no problem. i took them there and they said it would be done in a week. I get phoning and going back and it took a few weeks for them to tell me they couldnt get the pistons out. i took them away again and my mate took them to work and got the pistons out and sand blasted the one... as you can see in the top few pictures. I took it back to powder coaters and they were done in a few days. when i got them i went and got new seals all around for them but when i went to fit them the powder coaters hadnt tapped it up properly adn the rim where the seal sits was covered in paint and so it wouldnt fit properly. then they went back to my friends work to get them to fit and to tap the carriers where they had powder coated inside where the bolts go. he then left them at work before going away for a month so now its just a waiting game for him to get bak to the uk. arghhhhhh

I think you're right. when i told my mate they couldnt get the pistons out he laughed and said what a bunch of jokers. then when they came back he was pretty pissed at the job they had done. lets just say i doubt i will use them again
